Last Thursday I was invited to attend a networking event produced by SWAP THE BIZ. A high-end, red carpet networking business with a focus on social events. Owners Scott and Debbie Eisenberg of Roseland were the consummate hosts for the event held at Dieci Uomo Salon for Men, on their rooftop deck. The beautifully appointed lounge spaces and massage cabanas create an oasis of tranquility. Make your appointment now.
Swap The Biz hosted more than 100 people mingling, drinking from the open bar and munching on passed Hors d’oeuvres provided by Rezza Restaurant. Chocolate sweets, from truffles to chocolate covered cookies and pretzels, came fresh from Randy Guttenberg’s Chocolate Works of Millburn, my go to for gifts and party favors. Plus Philly Pretzels and DJ Zap was there with background music to keep everyone moving and mingling.
The event was filled with people in finance, real estate, media and health and wellness. My goal was to get ten business contacts, usually a big number, but not at this event. I am not shy and have no problem walking up to anyone and saying hello. However, we were all there to connect and I found there to be an atmosphere of camaraderie. Those I spoke to were open to learning about what I do and I was interested in them as well. There was a lot of movement around the event providing the opportunity to meet and network with everyone. On my way out I was handed a complimentary product bag from the night sponsors. I am glad I attended the event and will follow up with those I met. I plan on attending the next event, please join me by signing up at www.swapthebiz.com.
