I’m ready to leave the house, I have my business cards, some cash and I’m too excited to eat. I decide to drive to the train. It’s not my usual place, but it was 20 minutes closer, and it should have been easier.
I roll up to the parking lot and it’s a small lot with a huge warehouse behind it. As I drive around to find the one open parking spot, I say to myself, “I could get killed in here, I’m not coming back till 11pm.” But I am on a schedule, so I park and walk to the station.
As I sit there waiting for the train, I am so uncomfortable. No, it wasn’t the creepy guy talking to himself, or the hipster on his skateboard, or even the middle aged married man who keeps looking at my shoes. My intuition was yelling at me, “This isn’t OK.” As I’m walking back through the warehouse I think again,” I could be killed in here.”
The lesson here, listen to your intuition, your gut is always right!
